Aging on the Rock Forum - Come and hear what MI seniors are saying about living on the Rock as we discuss the results of the Island survey from the Senior Advisory Board and The Senior Foundation of Mercer Island.

Only as a community can we create a comprehensive list of services currently offered and those still needed for Island Seniors to continue happy, healthy aging on our "rock".

MISSION STATEMENT
The goal of the Senior Foundation of Mercer Island is to act as a catalyst to help develop and empower community-based nonprofit programs which enhance the health, safety, and well-being of Mercer Island seniors, through education and fund-raising.

NON-PROFIT
A nonprofit [501c3] charity established in April, 2002, we hold fundraisers and sponsor forums related to aging issues. Under our tax ID #72-1519785, we accept donations as gifts, birthday remembrances and memorials.

SENIOR FOUNDATION GOALS
To bridge the generational gap in four specific ways:

• increase awareness of what the Senior Foundation does for MI Seniors
• educate islanders, from the youth to seniors, about MI senior issues;
• pursue ways of reaching out directly to Mercer Island seniors in need;
• increase volunteerism of members and supporters and utilize all talents.

Towards these goals, the Sr. Foundation is partnering with an island chapter of NCL (National Charities League) who will support us with teams of mothers and daughters at our events.
